A sustainable hotel at alpine altitude? It's possible. And quite well. We have been combining experience with responsibility for more than 70 years. We clean without chemicals, save water with clever shower heads and charge electric cars directly in our garage. Disposable plastic? We don't use any. Instead: Furniture made from local wood, a ski cellar floor made from recycled car tyres and many well thought-out decisions that add up to great things. For us, sustainability is not just a statement – it's in every decision we make.

From Lungau with love
Shorter delivery routes. More flavour! Our kitchen thinks regionally – in the best sense of the word. The cheese comes from farms in Lungau, the bread comes from a traditional baker in the region. We deliberately do no evening buffets. Instead, we serve à la carte in all three restaurants: freshly cooked, carefully portioned - and always with the aim of avoiding food waste.
We focus on seasonal, organic products from the region – not only because they taste better, but also because they save CO₂. This creates a network of short distances, fresh products and people who work with conviction.

Green arrival & onward journey made easy
Doing something good on your journey? We think that's great – and with us it's really easy. The Obertauern holiday region is easily accessible even without your own car: The nearest train station is in Radstadt, just 20 kilometres away. From there, a public bus takes you almost directly to our front door – to the Petersbühel bus stop, just 100 metres from the Enzian. And if you're in a hurry, you can land at one of the airports in the area and take a taxi. This will take you quickly to your holiday at the Enzian and spare your nerves on snow-covered roads.
