A winter wonderland on the hotel doorstep
In Obertauern winter is still like it used to be. Snow-assured from November through to May, you get to enjoy over 100 wonderfully prepared kilometres of slopes and plenty of deep snow trails. All just a few minutes from the Enzian. Without having to snap out of your skis; no shuttles, no waiting. And all that even in the spring, with sunshine skiing.

With winter and snow-shoe hiking in the mountains, cross-country skiing on 26 km of trails, horse-drawn sled rides and the natural toboggan run on the Gnadenalm, boredom is not an option. Refreshment stop in Mankei Alm
A ski day without a pleasure-filled stop-off for refreshments at a proper ski lodge is just not a ski day. You will find exactly that on the sun terrace at Mankei Alm: ‘Hüttengaudi’ deluxe with traditional style, local specials and a great atmosphere with your favourite drink. It is so easy to get from the Enzian to Mankei Alm via the Plattenkar lift – and the descent proceeds right past the Enzian’s ski store.

There’s plenty to discover in the area around our hotel. The world-famous city of Salzburg is about an hour away—perfect for a day trip filled with history, culture, and shopping. Stroll through the historic old town, discover impressive sights, or enjoy the special charm of Mozart’s city.
The region also has a lot to offer: In winter, you’ll find perfectly groomed ski slopes, cross-country trails, winter hiking trails, and many other ways to experience the snow-covered mountains—whether actively or in a completely relaxed manner. We’d be happy to share our personal favorite spots with you and give you the best tips for the most beautiful activities and places to visit.
