Can I bring my dog to the restaurants?

During your visit in the restaurants, your darling can make himself comfortable in his basket in the room.
However, he is welcome to join you at the bar - as long as he is not the loudest one there ;)

Can I have dinner in one of the 3 à la carte restaurants even if I am not a hotel guest?

Yes, of course! If capacity allows, we look forward to your visit with reservation in one of our 3 restaurants.

Is it possible to ski-in and ski-out in Hotel Enzian in Obertauern and how far is the hotel from the ski slope?

Hotel Enzian is located right at the slope. It is just a short stroll from our ski store, then you can head out and enjoy some ski fun. Ski-in, ski-out at its finest in Obertauern!

Where can I hire skis?

For the perfect hire equipment, we recommend Freudenhaus and Intersport Frühstückl in Obertauern – both shops are just 50–80 metres from the hotel. Here you can not only look forward to the latest equipment and fantastic service, but there is a 10% discount for you as a guest of the hotel too.

The Freudenhaus and Intersport Frühstückl in Obertauern – both shops are just 50–80 metres from the hotel.

For speedy, safe learning, improving and perfecting your ski and snowboard skills we recommend Skischule Krallinger. The ski school is just a few minutes’ walk from Hotel Enzian and offers private lessons and group courses. Bettina Krallinger is also available every Saturday at 18.00 at our hotel bar to provide bespoke advice.

For those who have a passion for skiing and are looking for more of a challenge, to enjoy those first experiences of deep snow, or who want to improve their carving technique, we recommend private lessons with Mia Veit from the ski school, Local Guides. Here you will be accompanied and receive training from the best ski and snowboard instructors. Reception can help provide more information and for your booking – or send an e-mail to m.veit@enzian.net

Hundsfeldloipe: Access to this sunny aspect trail is to the north of the sport centre (approx. 10 minute walk from the Enzian). The loveliest section extends right through the conservation area at Hundsfeldmoor, ending with a speedy descent to the sports centre. Another access point to Hundsfeldloipe is situated close to the kiting area. Length: approx. 6km

World Cup trail: Start of this promising, medium difficulty level trail is at Zehnerkar car park P2, which is best accessed by car or by ski bus. From the Zehnerkar valley station up to Felseralm you get to enjoy the landscape and the tranquillity of Weninger Au. Length: approx. 6km

What lift takes me back to the Enzian?

For your return journey to the hotel – or your last descent – the best one to take is the Achenrainbahn or Gamsleitenbahn 1.

The saunas and steam baths are available from 1 pm. Our entire spa offer can be seen here. Cosmetics and massages are available from 9.00, so too is the reading or gambeling area at our bar.

Obertauern also has a great deal to offer away from the pistes. Winter hikes with or without snow shoes, snowkiting, snowbiking and cross-country skiing for instance.
