The Hotel Enzian was established by the Kuhn family in 1955 as a small guesthouse with 15 beds. It has developed into a cosy, comfortable hotel with 65 beds and in 1978 a part of flats with 18 appartements was built next door. In 1983, Walter Veit took over and has managed the hotel operations ever since. After buying some adjacent land, nothing stood in the way of further expansion.
The Mankei-Alm on the Plattenkar was newly built in 1987 and extended in 2001.
Through gradual investments, the hotel has developed into a 4-star hotel. The Hotel Enzian today has 130 beds and belongs to the largest hotels in Obertauern. In summer 2010 the entire hotel was renovated and a luxurious panorama suite was created on the top.
The investments and the excellent services and performance of our employees resulted being awarded the category of 4* Superior in 2010.
