The Lasser family-run bakery emphasises the taste of organic grains. Mr Lasser senior was one of the Austrian pioneers of organic bread. Lasser’s products are made of high-quality raw ingredients, water and natural sourdough.

Fötschlalm cheese dairy in Thomatal
Erwin Bauer turned his hobby into his vocation, went to Switzerland to train as a dairyman and has fulfilled his heart’s desire with his cheese dairy in Thomatal. He processes the milk from his own dairy cows and has a great passion to strengthen the cheese making culture in the Lungau.
Tip: Visit Erwin Bauer at his cheese dairy, about 30 kilometres from the Hotel Enzian.
Lankmayr butcher’s shop
The Lungau region in the state of Salzburg is famous for its tasty bacon. In 1949 the Lankmayr butcher’s shop started producing Lungau specialities and since then has remained true to its recipes.

The Trausner family sees the nature as their supplier. All the ingredients come from their own garden, from selected fruit trees or from the local harvest. The fruit varieties are refined with beet sugar and turned into jams, fruit jelly sweets or into their own unique Enzian syrup.

"Lungauer Cheese" from the cheesemaker Günther Naynar
For more than 30 years, Günther Naynar has been making cheese from cow’s and goat’s milk at his farm. Because of the fresh, scented air at 1,260 metres above sea level and Naynar’s love of detail, delicious, natural and very tasty varieties of cheese have been created. The Austrian gastronomy scene has long been aware of his products and consequently he supplies numerous exclusive award-winning restaurants all over Austria.
"Lungau Eachtling" from the family Santner from Lintsching
The Lungau - the southernmost district of the Salzburger Land- is separated from its neighboring landscapes within an alpine basin at over 1,000 meters above sea level and the mountain ranges and gorges. The climate and vegetation influenced decisively and Lungau makes the recovery of a potato field of high value and one of Austria's best potato growing areas. The term "Eachtling" is the local word for the potato and is used by the Lungau potato farmers as a brand name. The natural, sandy grounds are ideally for the cultivation of the finest potatoes.

At the Veit vineyard the wine can take its time to mature. The family business is famous in the wine region for its Veitliner, the brand name of the Grüner Veltliner at the Veit vineyard.
The wines have gained a permanent mention in the Falstaff wine guide/red wine guide as well as in the Vinaria Jungweinatlas. Numerous awards in recent years are reasons enough for the Veits to remain true to the path they’ve chosen to follow.

Precious distillery Moser
In the center of Zederhaus in the region Lungau (only 20km away), the farm of the Moser family is situated on 1200 m. The distillery Moser produces schnaps with high quality since 1995. Austrian fruits and berries are mainly used. The cooperation between the fruit farmers and distiller is an important part of the work and influences the quality of the schnaps.
